Profile: Hon. Sandra Mazer Moss
Although I wrote this in the 2010 for the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers (now the Pennsylvania Association for Justice) VERDICT magazine, I think it bears reposting. Judge Mazer Moss of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas is well known and respected locally and nationally for her expertise on the bench and forward-thinking court administration.
In the article I mention how Judge Moss led the Complex Litigation Center during a time when the courts were overburdened with cases, with no clear administration of how to move things thoroughly and efficiently. With her oversight, the CLC become a fine-tuned machine that continues today, consolidating “like” cases providing both plaintiffs and defense counsel with a speedier and some say more just process.
Judge Moss continues today to be the Coordinating Judge of the CLC, Court of Common Pleas in the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania.
